We select the most prestigious origins in the world under strict quality controls to guarantee a unique and unmistakeable flavour in our different blends.

The most highly esteemed variety in the world: a very aromatic, smooth, sweet coffee with a fruity flavour. Its cream is dense and hazelnut in colour. Arabica coffee is also characterised by its low caffeine content (1.5% per 100 ml). It is cultivated at an altitude of 900 to 2,200 m, and usually harvested by hand. The plant (cafeto) produces 2 to 3 kg per year.

Robusta coffee is a purely commercial variety; we say it’s the one that all we roasters use to bring down prices as it is cultivated for its high production, low cost and collection by machines. This variety is very resistant to infestations and inclement weather, hence the name “Robusta” (robust).

Robusta is a strong, bitter, not very aromatic coffee, with surprising flavours and smells (plastic, oxide, damp wood, etc...). Its cream is foamier, and it contains twice the amount of caffeine as Arabica (3% per 100 ml). It is grown at an altitude of between 200 and 800 m.
